Tension between North Korea and South Korea have gotten bad ever since South Korea has refused any contact with North Korea, since North Korea is a “independent” country and doesn’t have many resources except nuclear bombs this could cause North Korea to retaliate and use there bombs to fight back. Last Thursday North Korea said that they would attack any ships that violate there dispute order. North Korea has already made attacks onto the Cheonan, the North Korean people sent a torpedo attack onto the ship, the North Koreans denies all involvement which then lead to the announcement that all ties are being cut between the South and North Koreans. Since the North Koreans deny any involvement in the sinking of the Cheonan ship, investigators are looking into it and seeing what they will find.
This Article, story whatever you call it is a devastating battle between North and South Korea. North Korea has been stubborn and almost become invisible from the world, the people truly believe that it is great to be an independent country. What people around the world have noticed is that there are few that are privileged in North Korea but the ones who are have somehow created an amazing army and weapons that could destroy everything. The un-privileged people in North Korea don’t know that they are suffering but the lack of food and medical equipment leave them suffering. In North Korea the ties between North and South Korea are extremely important to people around the world. The reason for that is because if South Korea breaks there ties with North Korea they will eventually run out of food and retaliate by using there nuclear weapons against us.

U.S. officials are planning on working together with India to make stronger ties between our countries. Undersecretary of State, William Burns, made a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations, making his main focus points on the importance of India and America's bonds. He also said that there has never been a time that these two countries ever needed each other more than now. Hilary Clinton, our Secretary of State, will be hosting the Foreign Minister of India and other officials to discuss quite a few initiatives. This will help make India and the United States have stronger ties.
This article is significant in a few ways. Not only is it dealing with our country, it is dealing with quite a few things that are most likely not that great in India. If we do make stronger ties, this will help us a lot and India. We will be able to help out with a lot of things that they need help with, and in return they could help us. Hopefully our ties will become stronger and our countries will be able to emerge with global power.

This event affects the region because now north and south korea are not trading with each other and there trading with each other was making alot of money. since north korea doesnt have many resourses they are now losing money they could of used to get more resources.
China declines to invite U.S. Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates for visit By Craig Whitlock Wednesday, June 2, 2010 http://www.washingtonpost.com
The Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates left for Asia on Wednesday. He had planned on visiting Beijing China, but China declined to extend an invitation. Gates wanted to visit Beijing because it was important for the Pentagon after North Korea; which sees China as its closest ally and diplomatic proctor was accused last month of sinking a South Korean warship with a torpedo, killing 46 sailors. Pentagon officials are assuming that China was still annoyed by the Obama administration’s announcement that it would approve$6.4 billion in arms sales to Taiwan. Beijing considers Taiwan a breakaway province. Beijing stopped Military-to-military exchanges with Washington in 2007 after the Bush administration approved a separate set of arms sales to Taiwan. Although China has backed away from its military relationship with the Pentagon, it has not cut off ties all together. Meetings between China and US commanders have taken place. Gates will stop in Singapore where he will attend a regional security conference. He will hold private meetings with leaders from several Asian nations, but none from China. Afterwards Gates will travel to Baku, Azerbaijan, to try to fortify U.S. military supply routes to Afghanistan, which cross Central Asia.
This has an effect on the United States and other ally nations because it is important for us to keep good communication between the Unites States and China. China is a powerful nation and also has many allies. If communication is not kept open between the United States and China it could lead to conflicts. If the leaders in China refuse to meet with leaders of the United States it may increase tension between the two nations. Without communication, the two countries cannot discuss their differences and come to any agreement. I think it’s important for communication to continue, because both nations have some common interest, and to some extent, need each other.
Assicurazioni Generali Italy's biggest insurer, said it was too early to say if it might be interested in mericaan International Group's Asian assets after UK peer Prudential pulled it's deal. Generali has said before that it wants to develop in eastern markets both in Europe and Asia, the spokesman said, but the failure of Prudential's deal showed prices are too high. Generali shares were up 2.57 percent at 0817 GMT, while the Stoxx 600 insurers index .SXIP was up 2.17 percent.
This article is significant because it has to deal with American International Group's figuring out if they want to asset the UK after they pulled their deal.
